Three Back-to-back Draws Under OINP Invite 4,552 Candidates to Apply for Permanent Residency

Ontario held three invitation rounds on February 8, 2024, under various Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) streams.

Ontario’s Express Entry-aligned Human Capital Priorities (HCP) stream issued 2,118 invites to candidates. The draw enables candidates to apply for provincial nomination to become permanent residents in Ontario. The draw focused on fifteen tech occupations and required candidates to have active Express Entry profiles.

OINP Express Entry draws on February 8 selected candidates with CRS scores between 471 and 480 points for provincial nomination. The last Ontario Express Entry draws on February 6 targeted healthcare occupations and issued 2,086 invitations to apply for provincial nomination to eligible candidates.

The general invitation round for the International Students Stream of Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) invited 1,182 candidates to apply for permanent residence. Expression of Interest profiles scoring over 78 points received invitations under the general draw.

Ontario conducted an additional draw to select OINP Expression of Interest profiles targeting healthcare and tech occupations under the International student stream. The draw issued invites to candidates scoring 73 points and above.

Ontario enables aspiring immigrants willing to study, work, and settle in the province through multiple pathways to permanent residency. The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program is the strategic initiative for provincial immigration, allowing the province to support the labor market and demographic needs.
