The Latest British Columbia Skills Immigration Draw Issues 155 Invitations to Apply

British Columbia conducted a Skills Immigration draw on August 29, 2023, inviting 155 candidates for permanent residency.

 British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) held a new Skills Immigration draw to select 155 Skilled Workers and International Graduates for provincial nomination. The candidates receive Invitations to Apply to receive BC provincial nomination, allowing them to seek permanent residency.

The CRS scores for the August 29 Skills Immigration draw raged between 60 and 88 points. The last BC PNP Skills Immigration round on August 22 invited 230 candidates with a CRS cut-off of 60 points.  

Here are a few details of the latest BC PNP Skills Immigration draw:

  • Skills Immigration Tech Category – Issued 102 ITAs to Skilled Workers and International Graduates, including the EEBC option. The minimum CRS cut-off was 88 points.
  • Childcare – Early Childhood educators and assistants- 28 Invitations to Apply to candidates with a minimum CRS score of 60 or more
  • Healthcare – There were 20 invitations to candidates in the healthcare occupations. CRS cut-off was 60 points.
  • NOC 31103, 32104 – Invitation round for Other Priority occupations selected five candidates with a CRS cut-off of 60 points. 

British Columbia holds weekly invitation rounds, and the size of the BC PNP draw is as per the province’s application inventory. BC PNP manages skills and entrepreneur immigration by ranking the candidates on yardsticks like age, work experience, education, adaptability, language skills, and adaptability.
