The First Manitoba PNP Draw of 2023 Issues 322 Invites to Candidates for Permanent Residence

Manitoba conducted its first provincial nomination draw of 2023 on Jan 12, issuing 322 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs).

On January 12, 2023, the Expression of Interest (EOI) draw #165 issued invitations to candidates under three Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) streams. The breakup of 322 Letters of Advice to Apply is as below.

  • International Education Stream – 42 candidates
  • Skilled Workers Manitoba – 260 candidates (minimum score of 734)
  • Skilled Worker Overseas – 20 candidates (minimum score of 713)

The EOI draw of the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program also invited 27 candidates with a Job Seeker validation code and an active Express Entry profile.

Manitoba considers Expression of Interest (EOI) candidates with an invitation under a Strategic Recruitment initiative by Manitoba’s provincial government. The province also invites candidates with active Express Entry profiles. Their Express Entry profile must be valid during the assessment of the application.

Few candidates may not receive a Letter of Advice to Apply despite having scores equal to or more than the cut-off. The following are possible reasons:

  • Failure to submit a valid Test Number despite indicating completion of an authorized language proficiency test
  • Failure to provide a valid Invitation Number despite indicating a receipt of ITA under a Strategic Initiative

Manitoba assures a high quality of life for immigrants looking for affordable options to settle in Canada. Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program allows the province to meet its labor market needs, allowing candidates to settle permanently.
