Recent Entrepreneur draws by Saskatchewan and Ontario issued invites to 48 candidates willing to invest and set up businesses in these Canadian provinces.
Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP)
Saskatchewan held a draw on May 4 under the entrepreneur stream of the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) to issue invitations to 34 experienced business professionals planning to establish a business venture and settle in the province. The SINP draw required a minimum CRS score of 100 points.
Saskatchewan considers the following parameters to select candidates for the provincial immigration of entrepreneurs.
- Official language ability score
- Planning a business to boost the core economy sector
- Completed an exploratory visit to the province
Aspiring entrepreneurs must submit an Expression of Interest showing a minimum net worth of $500,000 and a minimum of three years’ entrepreneurial experience. The top-scoring candidates in the pool receive invitations to apply for permanent residence.
Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP)
The entrepreneur stream of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) selected 14 business professionals in the May 12 draw. The draw required CRS scores between 135 and 178 points for selection.
