The unscheduled draw of PEI PNP invited 69 skilled workers to apply for permanent residence on Dec 1, 2022
The Invitations to apply focused on Express Entry and Labor Impact streams in the recent out-of-schedule draw of the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP).
The following are highlights of Express Entry and Labor Impact streams of Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Programs.
Labor Impact Category
The Skilled Worker stream of the Prince Edward Island Labor Impact Category targets skilled workers having a job offer and meeting these criteria:
- Minimum post-secondary education
- Adequate language proficiency in English or French
- Age between 21 and 55
- Full-time employment offer
The Critical Worker Stream addresses labor market needs by targeting foreign workers in Prince Edward Island province. The critical worker stream considers skilled workers in several occupations, such as:
- Customer Service Representative
- Truck Driver
- Laborer
- Housekeeper
- Food and beverage service
The candidate should fulfill other primary criteria of age, language proficiency, and work experience for nomination through the Critical Worker Stream. They must have a valid work permit while applying for provincial nomination through the critical worker stream of the PEI Labor Impact Category.
PEI PNP Express Entry Stream
The Prince Edward Islands accepts candidates with an active Express Entry profile for provincial nomination. The nomination is helpful for immigration through the Express Entry system because the candidate’s CRS score increases by 600 points, virtually assuring the Invitation to Apply. Candidates with or without a job offer can choose relevant pathways to apply for Prince Edward Island provincial nomination through the Express Entry system.
