Prince Edward Island published the details of the month’s first provincial immigration draw on September 21. The PEI PNP draws targeted foreign skilled workers and entrepreneurs, issuing 157 invites under the Business and Work Permit Entrepreneur and Labor and Express Entry pathways of the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP).
The PEI PNP draw processed 153 invitations under the Labor and Express Entry stream to candidates with a minimum score of 80 points or more. It included Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for permanent residency to candidates under the Critical Worker stream. The candidates required a minimum Expression of Interest (EOI)score of 55 points.
PEI PNP Critical Worker stream mandates a minimum work experience of two years in unskilled and semi-skilled occupations to be eligible for selection.
Four invitations went to foreign entrepreneurs under the Business and Work Permit Entrepreneur stream with an EOI cut-off score of 80 points.
Prince Edward Island operates its Provincial Nominee Program through the Expression of Interest system. It is similar to the federal Express Entry system requiring candidates to upload profiles for competitive selection of top-ranking candidates.
