The Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship, Canada (IRCC) issued 7,000 Invitations to Apply in two All-program Draws
Breaking its record of January 2022, IRCC issued a whopping 7,000 ITAs in September 2022. The first Express Entry draw on September 14, delivered a total of 3,250 Invitations to Apply with a CRS cut-off figure of 511. IRCC issued 3750 Invitations to Apply in the second draw on September 28, 2022. The CRS cut-off was slightly lower at 504 in the second Express Entry draw.
The sixth all-program Express Entry draw on September 14 had a lower CRS cut-off as against the earlier Express Entry draws. The Express Entry draw issued Invitations to Apply to candidates under the four categories mentioned below:
- Provincial Nominee Program
- Federal Skilled Worker
- Canadian Experience Class
- Federal Skilled Trades
The CRS cut-off figure was five points lower than the earlier Express Entry Draw and a rise of 500 Invitations to Apply.
There is a likelihood of changes in the Express Entry rules in the next year, 2023. The changes will address the record increase in job vacancies in Canada.
The Canadian government plans to issue ITAs to candidates having a specific educational background and skilled work experience. According to the latest CIC report, the present rate of job vacancies in Canada is around 5.7 percent.
