Ontario issued 2,844 Invitations to Apply in the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program draw for skilled trades workers with active Express Entry profiles on August 3, 2023.
Ontario issued 7,512 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) this year through the stream of OINP Skilled Trades. The latest OINP draw for skilled trades selected 2,844 candidates with valid Express Entry profiles having CRS scores between 250 and 516. The draw does not require candidates to have separate Ontario Immigrant Nominee Profile. They should have Express Entry profiles in eligible trades occupations to qualify for the OINP skilled trades draw.
Provincial nomination adds 600 points to the candidate’s CRS score, enhancing their chances of Express Entry selection through the regular invitation rounds. Candidate with a CRS score of 250 will boost their Express Entry CRS score to 850 points.
Candidates with a minimum of one year’s cumulative skilled full-time work experience can apply to Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program. The work experience should be under the Minor Group 6320 OR Major Groups 73, 82, 83, and 93 of NOCs. They should have skilled work experience in the last two years to become eligible for automatic selection through OINP’s Express Entry Skilled Trades stream.
