Ontario issued 2,359 Invitations to Apply under the Human Capital Priorities stream of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) on December 14, 2023.
Ontario conducted the biggest Human Capital Priorities (HCP) draw to invite 2,359 candidates with active Express Entry profiles. The draw targeted Express Entry profiles of candidates with skilled work experience in the Tech occupations. The OINP draw was the biggest HCP draw, according to the number of invitations to apply for permanent residency.
The Express Entry-aligned Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) issued invitations for provincial nominations to candidates having CRS scores between 473 and 480 points. Provincial nomination awards 600 points to candidates. A candidate with an Express Entry profile, having a CRS score of 473 points, will get 600 additional points to achieve a CRS score of 1,073 points after receiving the provincial nomination. It guarantees selection in the subsequent Express Entry draw.
Ontario operates the Human Capital Program (HCP) stream under the provincial immigration program. The Human Capital Program allows Ontario to attract new immigrants to boost the local labor market. The Human Capital Program prioritizes the candidate’s work experience in Ontario, education, language skills, and age for the eligibility assessment.
