Nova Scotia International Graduates in Demand (IDG)
International graduates aspiring to pursue careers as pharmacy technicians and paramedics can look forward to settling in Nova Scotia as permanent residents. The province is expanding the PNP stream of International Graduates in Demand (IDG).
These are the main eligibility requirements of the IDG stream of the Nova Scotia Provincial Nominee Program:
- Age between 21 and 55 years
- Valid full-time job offer from a Nova Scotia employer
- Minimum high-school level education
- Proof of finances for settlement in Nova Scotia
- Minimum CLB level 5 language proficiency
- Minimum 30 weeks of study course in the past three years
New PR Pathway for Construction Workers
Nova Scotia is opening a new Permanent Residency pathway for aspiring immigrants with skilled work experience across 21 construction occupations. The new Critical Construction Worker Pilot will facilitate new immigrants to become permanent residents in Nova Scotia.
The Critical Construction Worker Pilot mandates a permanent and full-time job offer from an employer in Nova Scotia. Other eligibility criteria for the new pilot program include:
- Age between 21 and 55
- English or French language proficiency
- Minimum of one year of work experience in a relevant construction occupation
- Proof of finances to settle in Nova Scotia
