New Express Entry Invitation Round Issues 2,500 Invites in a Category-based Draw

The latest French language category Express Entry round of invitations on February 29, 2024, invited 2,500 candidates to apply for permanent residence.

Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held the year’s second Francophone category-based Express Entry draw on February 29, 2024. The latest Express Entry draw targeting French-speaking candidates required a minimum CRS score of 336 points, a record-low score for the category-based Express Entry draws.

The lower CRS score requirement for the French-speaking draws and a higher number of Invitations to Apply (ITAs) underscore the significance of learning French and achieving a minimum French language proficiency for selection. It is an easy and better option to become a permanent resident in 2024 by navigating the competitive Express Entry selection process.

IRCC opened the year’s Express Entry invitation rounds by holding the first Francophone draw of 2024. The first Express Entry draw of 2024 issued a whopping 7,000 Invitations to Apply for permanent residency and had a minimum CRS cut-off requirement of just 365 points.

French language skills up to the intermediate level are sufficient to qualify for French category-based Express Entry draws
