The last Expression of Interest draw of the Manitoba Provincial Nomination Program (MPNP) selected 280 candidates under various streams issuing Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs).
Manitoba conducted 2022’s last Expression of Interest Draw on December 30. The EOI draw #163 selected 280 candidates for Letters of Advice to Apply under the following streams:
- Skilled workers (Manitoba) – 202
- Skilled workers (Overseas) – 40
- International education stream – 38
There are various selection parameters for candidates under the Skilled Worker Overseas category. The provincial government of Manitoba invites candidates under a Strategic Recruitment Drive. Candidates with an active Express Entry profile are also eligible for selection through the Expression of Interest draw.
Candidates working in Manitoba under a regulated-in-demand occupation received an invitation to the draw, are fully licensed to work in Manitoba. Some candidates may not receive the Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA) because they are yet to submit a valid Test Number for a language test or an Invitation Number for an ITA under the strategic initiative.
Manitoba Provincial Nomination Program (MPNP)
Manitoba selects candidates through the MPNP and issues Invitations to Apply each month. Manitoba’s economic needs and MPNP application inventory influence the number of invitations and the frequency of the draws. Candidates can refer to the list of applications in-demand while considering the choice of immigration pathway. Manitoba offers four immigration streams:
- Skilled Worker (Overseas)
- Skilled Worker (Manitoba)
- Business investor
- International Education
Manitoba assigns points to select candidates for nomination by evaluating their language proficiency, age, work experience, education, and adaptability. They must score a minimum of 60 points out of 100 to become eligible for nomination.
