Canada set to Welcome More new Immigrants as it about to announce the Upcoming Immigration Levels Plan for 2023-25

Canada will present its latest Immigration Level Plan for 2023-15 by November 1, 2022

Canada is planning to welcome more new immigrants to offset the growing labor shortage and the aging population of baby boomers. The new immigrants will contribute significantly to Canada’s economy and support the infrastructure plans for high living standards.

The Immigration Level Plan by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada supports operations of the Canadian Immigration system for the particular period. The government announces the plan by November 1 for the next three years.

The government must announce the immigration level plan for the next three years by November 1, according to the IRPA (Immigration and Refugees Protection Act).

The last year’s Immigration level plan comprised immigration guidelines for 2022, 2023, and 2024. The new immigration levels plan will provide immigration goals for 2023, 2024, and 2025. The immigration level plan makes way for an increase in immigration targets.

There was a massive increase in the immigration goals in 2021 as the number of new immigrants rose to 405,000. The 2016 target for new immigrants was 250,000 only. The existing target for 2023 is 447,055. The immigration level plan considers inputs from various stakeholders and governmental departments to allocate goals for new permanent residents under each immigration class.
