Canada Holds a New Express Entry Round of Invitations Issuing 3,000 ITAs

The latest Express Entry draw on September 26, 2023, invited 3,000 candidates to apply for permanent residence.

The Express Entry draw on September 26, 2023, was for the no-program-specified round of invitations. There was a drop in CRS score cut-off by 27 points compared with the last no-program-specified Express Entry draw on September 19, bringing it down to 504 points.

Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) resumes bi-weekly draws besides introducing new rounds of Category-based draws, except for the three agriculture occupations. Candidates seeking immigration through Express Entry must understand the recent Express Entry draws had CRS cut-offs of around 500 points.

The CRS cut-off for Agriculture category Express Entry draws may be lower because fewer candidates qualify for the category-based draw for three Agriculture occupations. Express Entry profiles having CRS scores above 500 points have a better chance of receiving the Invitations to Apply (ITAs) through future Express Entry rounds of invitations.

Candidates with CRS scores below 500 points must explore ways to enhance their scores to become eligible for Express Entry selection. They may examine avenues like improving work experience, language scores, and educational credentials to boost their CRS scores above 500 points.
