British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) Picks Over 80 Candidates in Latest Selection Round

British Columbia’s recent draw through the BC Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) has seen the issuance of more than 80 invitations, marking another step in the province’s efforts to attract skilled workers and international graduates.

The draw, conducted on April 16, showcased the diversity of opportunities in British Columbia, targeting candidates across five distinct categories tailored to various sectors of the economy.

Most of the invitations, totaling 39, were extended in a general draw encompassing five BC PNP streams aimed at skilled workers and international graduates. The eligibility thresholds for this category varied, with minimum scores ranging from 107 to 132 points.

In a targeted initiative, 12 invitations were allocated to skilled personnel and international graduates with a minimum score of 92 points, focusing specifically on the crucial role of childcare workers in the province.

Another segment of the draw aimed at construction workers resulted in 10 invitations to candidates meeting a minimum score of 97 points.

Healthcare professionals were also targeted in this round, with 18 invitations extended to skilled workers and international graduates scoring at least 97 points.

Also, a draw targeting veterinary care workers saw less than 5 invitations being issued, with a minimum score requirement of 80 points. This intentionally vague figure was provided to ensure the privacy of the candidates invited.

The BC PNP draws serve as a vital avenue for individuals looking to immigrate to British Columbia, offering opportunities across various sectors and skill levels. The province’s proactive approach to immigration underscores its commitment to addressing labor market needs and fostering economic growth.
