BREAKING: IRCC Issues 5,900 ITAs in the Week’s Third Consecutive Express Entry Draw

IRCC held the third back-to-back Express Entry round of invitations of the week, inviting 5,900 candidates to apply for permanent residence on December 8, 2023.

The biggest category-based Express Entry draw on December 8, 2023, invited 5,900 candidates with professional experience in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) occupations. The CRS cut-off for the STEM category-based Express Entry draw was 481 points. It shows that CRS cut-off scores for category-based draws are lower than no-program-specified Express Entry draws.

IRCC conducted three Express Entry draws this week, inviting 11,650 candidates to apply for permanent residency.

Here are the details of CRS cut-offs and the number of ITAs for these draws:

  • All-program draw on December 6– CRS cut-off 561 (4,750 ITAs)
  • Francophone draw on December 7– CRS cut-off 470 (1,000 ITAs)
  • STEM category-based draw on December 8– CRS cut-off 481 (5,900 ITAs)

Canada’s category-based Express Entry draws target Express Entry profiles with unique attributes such as French language skills and professional experience in STEM, healthcare, transport, agriculture, and agri-food professions. The CRS cut-off scores for these draws are significantly lower than all-program Express Entry rounds of invitations.
