BREAKING: CRS Drops in the Third Consecutive All-Program Express Entry Draw, Inviting 7,000 Candidates

In a surprise move, Canada conducted the third consecutive Express Entry draw on March 29, 2023, issuing 7,000 ITAs.

The third consecutive All-program Express Entry draw achieved the milestone of 21,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in a single month. The CRS threshold dropped to 481 in the latest All-program Express Entry draw on March 29, 2023.

The recent draw did not target any specific category. It issued ITAs to candidates eligible under Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), and Canadian Experience Class (CEC).

Express Entry is the prominent pathway to manage Economic Class Immigration. The Express Entry Application management system assigns individual Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores to eligible candidates.

The draws occur once every two weeks, inviting the highest-scoring candidates in the pool. However, Canada deviated from the usual tradition of conducting draws every two weeks, holding three consecutive draws in March 2023.

In the past, the usual size of all-program Express Draws was around 1,000. The massive increase in the size of the Express Entry draw is causing CRS thresholds to fall.
