BREAKING: Canada Holds New Express Entry Draw Issuing 4,750 Invitations to Apply for Permanent Residence

The latest no-program-specified Express Entry draw on December 6, 2023, invited 4,750 candidates to apply for immigration.

The CRS cut-off for the December 6, 2023, Express Entry draw was 561 points, which is on the higher side. The higher CRS score is due to the large-sized draw. IRCC conducted an Express Entry draw after a long gap, as the previous Express Entry draw was on October 26, 2023. The last Express Entry draw invited 3,600 candidates, having a minimum CRS score of 431 points and more.

There was no Express Entry draw in November 2023. The gap between the two consecutive Express Entry draws was because of a technical glitch in the Profile Builder application, as several candidates could not create their Express Entry profiles. The absence of a bi-weekly Express Entry draw increases the CRS cut-off of subsequent draws with larger draws.

Express Entry is a two-step process to receive an invitation to apply for permanent residence in Canada. Aspiring immigrants create an online Express Entry profile and wait for the invitation rounds for the selection. An Invitation to Apply qualifies the candidate to submit the PR application and become a Canadian permanent resident.
